The “Covid-19” pandemic caused the aviation industry to face an unprecedented crisis with canceled flights, deserted airport, and almost all commercial services closed.
In that gloomy picture, Le Saigonnais is the only Business Lounge in Tan Son Nhat International remaining open, ready on the front line against the pandemic, maintaining passenger service for very few airlines departing from Tan Son Nhat including Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines; China Southern Air; Asiana Airlines; Eva Air; Cathay Pacific Airways; All Nippon Airways.
The intensity of workload during pandemic has almost doubled. In the past, Le Saigonnais staff needed to focus on taking care of the lounge meeting service standards. These days, we also have to strengthen preventive measures to prevent infection risk and ensure absolute safety and health for passengers and staff.
Applying the procedure and highest standards disinfection solution according to the health sector. The whole system is regularly sprayed with disinfection solution in all areas, most concentrated at contact exposed surfaces such as reception desk, tabletop, chair armrest, door handle… The disinfectant solution is CH2200, the one used for aircraft disinfection. After disinfection, all equipment is hourly cleaned with Future DC specialized disinfection solution and immediately after each guest occupancy. A disinfection solution is used instead of a floor cleaning chemical. The restroom area is sterilized with ultraviolet (UV) light to kill airborne bacteria, preventing the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus.
In addition to strict disinfecting and cleaning procedure, SASCO also applies a number of measures for more preventive efficiency such as: checking passengers’ body temperature, prompt actions when detecting suspected infection; social distancing seating layout; adding hot, cooked dishes to the menu, using lids for all buffet food trays; using disposable items…
Complying with social distancing order to prevent diseases, Le Saigonnais staff are arranged to work alternately, and each person carries out almost all duties during the shift. The intensity of workload and pressure both increase, but Le Saigonnais staff are always ready and do the job wholeheartedly.
Le Saigonnais staff enter the shift with the spirit of a brave warrior, dressed in the “Ao dai” of old Saigon women with a neat hair bun, they check the temperature and get protection via facemasks and medical gloves following the pandemic prevention regulations. The determination to fight against the epidemic has become a strong desire to drive every SASCO heart.
A warm style of Saigon people in the heart of the International Airport and a resilient spirit on the frontline against the pandemic. That is the pride from the aspiration to upgrade airport services in Vietnam during the international integration process and the determination to win the pandemic.
